It’s funny how our students are able to combine subjects so different as English, Natural Science, Spanish or Arts and Crafts through cross-curricular projects.
What exactly are these? They consist of working on specific contents from different subjects in a cooperative and entertaining way for students.
This time around, 4th Year Primary students used “Playground book Dados” in order to randomly select some emoji characters to be the protagonists of their stories.
Besides, they created a stage, curtain, script, and even the puppets. They performed their plays before their classmates, evaluated one another through rubrics and even reflected on the whole experience through a small portfolio created in the iMac room.
With all this, we manage to have them think about their own learning processes and acquire, almost without realising and in a practical way, the different concepts and skills comprised in their subjects.
